Privacy Policy

Dial Tax Inc (“Dial Tax”) is a tax accounting corporation with offices located within the municipality of Ottawa, Ontario. We take your privacy very seriously and we are committed to protecting your privacy over the internet. The purpose of this Internet Privacy Policy is that so you, and other visitors to our website, are aware of the information that we collect from you, the purpose for which we use this information, what we do with the personal information you submit to us and what rights you have with regard to the personal information that you submit to us. This General Internet Privacy applies to all information that we collect and/or use. Please note that the Dial Tax website contains links to other websites which are not governed by this privacy policy.
If you have any concerns that have not been addressed in this privacy policy, please feel free to contact us.

  Collection of Non-Personal Information

Dial Tax does not collect any non-personal information. Non-personal information may include: type of operating system in use by the visitor; type of browser being used by the visitor; the number of visitors to our site; and the frequency of visitors to our site. There may be certain non-personal information about website visits that is recorded by the basic operations of the internet servers on which Dial Tax’s website is hosted, but Dial Tax itself does not record or collect this information.

Collection of Personal Information

If you submit your personal information to us voluntarily, we may use this personal information for internal uses, such as hiring and/or customer satisfaction.
Personal information includes, but is not necessarily limited to, your name, birth date, place of residence, e-mail address, telephone number, and credit card information. A greater degree of personal information may be required to be disclosed in certain circumstances; for example, if you are interested in a franchising opportunity we may require certain financial information.
All personal information is only collected when you voluntarily submit it to us. For example, you may choose to disclose this information when providing an application for a job position, or if you wish to participate in a contest. Dial Tax does not collect any personal information from you without your knowledge and consent. As well, the information that we collect is limited to that information that is required for the purposes identified at the time of collection. You may choose not to provide your personal data, and you will still have extensive access to the Dial Tax website, but this may prevent you from completing certain activities (such as participating in a contest or survey).
This information that you voluntarily disclose may be used by us for other purposes occasionally, such as for marketing purposes, if you do not opt out of these purposes. Opting out of these other purposes may be done at the time of collection of the personal information. Personal information will never be used for a purpose not previously identified without your further individual consent (unless required by law). As well, if you later wish for us to no longer use personal information which you have previously voluntarily disclosed, please send an email to reception@dialtax.ca and we will promptly remove your information from our records. Personal information is only retained as long as necessary for the fulfillment of the purposes for which the information was collected.
We strive to maintain accurate, complete, and up-to-date records of personal information as is necessary, taking into account its use and the interests of the individual. If you believe our records are out-of-date, or are inaccurate with regard to your personal information, and we still use your personal information for the purpose(s) to which you consented, please send an email to reception@dialtax.ca so that we may update our records accordingly.

Security of Personal Information

We maintain safeguards to protect your personal information, but please note the internet is not always completely secure and third parties may be able to see this information. You acknowledge and agree that Dial Tax, its franchisees, affiliates, and related companies shall not be responsible for any damages you may suffer as a result of the transmission of confidential or sensitive information over the Internet, and that all such communications are at your own risk.  Please see our website’s Terms and Conditions for further detail in this regard.

  Personal Information and Third Parties

Only approved Dial Tax employees, its franchisees and its contractors are permitted to have access to the personal information that we collect, and only for purposes that have been consented to, or as required by law. We will also disclose or transfer personal information to a third party if there is a proposed or actual purchase, lease, merger, or any other type of acquisition, disposal or financing of all or any part of Dial Tax or its franchises. We may also disclose personal information if it is required by law to comply with a court order, judicial proceeding or if there is a legal document served on us.
We currently do not sell, distribute, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties.
If you submit a comment through our comment section of our website, we may post it (or an edited version of it) on our website or other promotional materials, along with your first name and city of residence.

Third Party Links

We may provide links to third party websites; however, we are not responsible for the information collection practices of those websites. We encourage you to read the privacy policies of third parties websites before providing personal information, as their policies may significantly differ from that of Dial Tax.

Consent

By using, browsing and/or accessing our website and submitting your personal information, you consent to the collection and use of this information as described in this privacy policy. Dial Tax reserves the right to change, alter, or modify its privacy policy at any time and without notice. We encourage you to periodically consult our privacy policy so that you are aware of any changes that are made.
